
This game, Star Wars: X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter was not a regular entrant in the X Wing series, nope, it was a more original experience than the other ones besides being more technically advanced than these. One thing you'll need to be able to play it (this can't be helped, the game won't accept keyboard controls no matter what, unless, of course. Star Wars™: X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter includes the Balance of Power expansion pack featuring an Imperial and Rebel campaign with 15 missions each. Real-time against real pilots; this is Star Wars space combat as it was meant to be! Featuring challenging real-time dogfights of 2 to 8 players, Star War. Where the Star Wars movies so eloquently laid out the virtues of the light side of the force and the awesome 'power of the dark side,' X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter leaves such distinctions more up to the soundtrack than the gameplay. The original, stirring music from Star Wars is front and center, very nicely woven into the game, and this does help.
X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter puts you in the Pilot seat. Following the tremendous success of X-Wing and Tie Fighter, X-Wing vs Tie Fighter (XvT) continues upon a successful playability system. Instead of concentrating on a Single Player Campaign, XvT concentrates on the Multi-player aspect of it all, pitting players and clans alike into a battle for the control of the galaxy. Being the first Windows based game of the series, XvT set new standards in graphical visualisation taking full advantage of the new 3D technology which sweeped the market all those years ago.
Even though this is a classic, it is definatly a must-have classic. With the expansion pack 'Balance of Power' XvT also adds the missing single player campaign.
